Overview KVSA Logistics

It started with a rowing boat

Following the opening of the North Sea Canal in 1876, two entrepreneurs decided to offer their services to incoming ships and shipping lines, and shore-based shippers. They made their way to the vessels, to exchange information, by rowing boat.

Over the years, KVSA has responded to the ever-increasing demands of the shipping in the Amsterdam North Sea Canal area. Today, after more than 125 years and Royal recognition, the organisation offers a full range of maritime services including ship reporting, as well as stowage, customs clearance, transport, port agency services and the company’s own Cruise-Ferry terminal. In conjunction with each of these services, optimum use is made of the new media.

Alongside its Logistic division, KVSA operates the BTS Telecom division specialising in multi-message traffic via e-mail, fax, telex and SMS,  and is responsible for management of the Felison Terminal in IJmuiden.
